Darlington born drag artist The Delta Quadrant is bringing her full-length festive production to the Alphabetti Theatre in Newcastle for a limited run.
The recent contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race UK will be performing 'The Delta Quadrant's Office Christmas Party' in December.
The show marks the first major staged production for the County Durham drag artist, whose corporate alter-ego was recently introduced television audiences across the UK.
The show is billed as a unique blend of character comedy, absurdity and unapologetic boardroom dysfunction.
Blending stand-up and storytelling, the show promises a hilarious festive night out that sits somewhere between an office party, a disciplinary hearing and a corporate meltdown.
Edward Cole, Artistic Director of Alphabetti Theatre, said:
"At Alphabetti we're committed to helping brilliant artists make the leap from exciting ideas and performances into fully realised theatrical productions, and there are few artists more exciting right now than The Delta Quadrant.
"Since first appearing on the North East cabaret circuit, Delta has created one of the most distinctive comedy characters I've encountered, and her recent appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race UK has only confirmed what local audiences already knew.
"This show is funny, ridiculous and completely unique, but beneath the shoulder pads, business jargon and corporate delusion is a genuinely brilliant piece of character comedy.
"We're thrilled to be helping bring The Delta Quadrant's first full-length theatre show to life and can't wait to introduce audiences to Quadrant Inc. this Christmas."
The Delta Quadrant said:
"The end of Q4 is a time of increased activity at Quadrant Inc., which is why I am delighted that the Alphabetti Theatre have allowed me to erect a temporary workspace over the festive period to check on progress here in Newcastle.
"I’ll be punching the clock - not too hard, they’re expensive! - and dropping by your cubicle, rubbing shoulderpads with all my subordinates in this brand new, business boosting, HR-approved (I think?) Christmas show."
