Darlington leads, Durham follows close behind
Darlington storage comes out on top by a clear margin, generating over 20,000 search impressions for storage-related terms over the past year, with more than 380 click-throughs - the highest of any town in the dataset. Storage in Durham follows with over 18,000 impressions, while Gateshead storage ranks third with over 15,000 despite comparatively few click-throughs, suggesting strong demand that isn't yet being met with the right local options.
South Shields punches above its weight
Despite ranking fifth for overall search volume, South Shields self storage converts that interest into clicks more efficiently than almost anywhere else in the region. Storage in Middlesbrough, Hull storage, and storage in Carlisle all post solid, steady demand, while Sunderland and storage in Stockton show more modest figures - both areas that appear underserved relative to nearby towns.
